Families and community members gathered at Brighton Academy to partake in activities such as meeting local authors and illustrators, receiving free books, and enjoying live performances. The festival serves as a reminder to parents about the significance of reading to their children daily. The event was previously organized by individuals including Mrs. Geneva Hayden, Edward Kochian, and Karen Norton.
