Free Car Seat Event on September 21, 2024

The District of Columbia will host a free car seat installation and inspection event on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The event will take place from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Bald Eagle Recreation Center located at 100 Joliet St SW.
Research shows that correctly used child safety seats can reduce the risk of death by as much as 71%. However, approximately 73% of car seats are not used or installed properly. The event aims to address this issue and ensure child safety.
Free car seats will be available for District residents who provide proof of valid ID, while supplies last. Children must be present to receive a car seat.
