This weekend marks the start of fall in San Diego, with a variety of outdoor activities organized by the County of San Diego Parks and Recreation.

On Saturday, September 21, several events are scheduled, starting with the Fall Hiking Series at El Monte at 8 a.m. A morning hike kicks off at Wilderness Gardens at 9 a.m. Simultaneously, multiple coastal cleanups will take place at Flinn Springs, Lindo Lake Park, Otay Lakes, Rainbow, and Tijuana River Valley, all starting at 9 a.m.

At 10 a.m., the San Elijo Nature Center will host "Reading with Rosy." Adobe-led tours will take place at Los Penasquitos Ranch House at 11 a.m. In the evening, there will be a lineup of summer movies beginning at 6 p.m. including "A Million Miles Away," "Mean Girls" at Heritage, "The Sandlot" at Felicita, and "Barbie" at Flinn Springs.

On Sunday, September 22, attendees can participate in a Trail Trek at Wilderness Gardens at 9 a.m. followed by docent-led tours at Rancho Guajome Adobe at 12 p.m. and Los Penasquitos Ranch House at 1 p.m.
