The Sarasota County Schools announced the winners of the September 2024 Ripple Effect Awards, which are presented by the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation in honor of Margery Barancik's birthday. The recipients of this award are:

- Rob Rowe from North Port High School

- Kevin Purcell from Heron Creek Middle School

- Tarra Martello from Brentwood Elementary School

- Julia Tilford from Alta Vista Elementary School

- Edgar Vazquez from Booker High School

Each winner was surprised at their respective schools by their principal, district leaders, and representatives from the Barancik Foundation. Along with a recognition award, each winner received a check for $5,000. These awards celebrate the educators' dedication and the positive impact they have had in their schools and community.
