Salisbury Fire Department Seeks Permits Coordinator I

The City of Salisbury Fire Department is hiring for the position of Permits & Inspections Coordinator I. The role is a full-time position with a salary of $43,177 and offers a full range of benefits. The job was posted on September 20, 2024.

The Permits & Inspections Coordinator will provide administrative support related to permitting, inspections, fire prevention, fire investigations, and code enforcement under the supervision of the Fire Marshal. Key responsibilities include scheduling inspections, issuing permits, collecting and processing fees, and tracking activities in a busy Fire Marshal’s Office. The coordinator will also manage scheduling for fire prevention and public safety education events and perform general office tasks such as answering phones, preparing reports, and maintaining calendars.

To qualify, candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess experience in office or clerical work, or have a combination of relevant training and education. An Associate's Degree or 60 college credits in fields such as business, accounting, fire science, or public administration is preferred, along with one year of administrative office experience.
