LAFD Sends Team to Aid Hurricane Response Efforts

Eighteen members of the Los Angeles City Fire Department (LAFD) have been deployed to assist with hurricane response efforts on the Atlantic coast. This team, part of FEMA California Task Force 1 (CA-TF1), consists of swift water specialists and will operate as a water-rescue-ready unit. The firefighters left last night to support the national response to aid the southeastern U.S., which has been impacted by devastating storms. The LAFD expressed their support for those affected by the storms.
