The Washington DC VA Medical Center is partnering with the Capital Area Food Bank to host a Veterans Mobile Food Pantry on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Clinical Research Building, Gate 1, located at 50 Irving Street, NW, Washington, DC 20422.

Fresh and non-perishable foods will be available for veterans and their families. Veterans are required to register and may pick up one food bag per household. This food pantry operates on a first come, first served basis, with a total of 100 food bags available.

The Veterans Mobile Food Pantry occurs monthly, every second Tuesday. Veterans experiencing food insecurity in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas are encouraged to contact the Washington DC VA Medical Center’s Nutrition and Food Service at 202-745-8190 or speak with Social Work Service for additional resources.
