Help Identify Purse Snatching Suspects in Akron

The Akron Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to identify two suspects involved in a purse snatching theft. The incident occurred on Saturday, September 28th, around 5:00 p.m. at Hawkins Plaza, located at 1525 S. Hawkins Ave.
The police have shared images of the suspects as part of their request for information. Anyone who may have details about this crime or can provide identification of the individuals is encouraged to contact Akron Police Detective J. Smith at 330-375-2490. Alternatively, tips can be submitted through the APD Tip Line at 330-375-2TIP or the Summit County Crimestoppers, Inc. at 330-434-COPS (2677).
Individuals can also send text tips by messaging TIPSCO to 274637 (CRIMES). The police emphasize that callers can remain anonymous. Additional information can also be submitted through the Akron PD app, where users can text Tips411 or find a link to the website at www.AkronCops.org.
The Akron Police Department advises against approaching the suspects if seen. Instead, they urge anyone with information to call 911.
