Ohio Electricity Costs Expected to Surge in 2025

In June 2025, electricity costs for users in Ohio and several neighboring states are expected to rise significantly. PJM, the regional transmission organization responsible for electricity in 13 states in the northeastern United States, reported a 933% increase in future pricing for the 2025/2026 delivery year beginning next June.

To assist its members, the Greater Akron Chamber has partnered with XpenseSolutions and Vistra. They are offering resources to help businesses analyze their energy usage, obtain expert advice, and access exclusive pricing on services from Energy Harbor.
