Help Identify Theft Suspects in Akron Store Incident

The Akron Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to identify two suspects involved in a theft that occurred on October 8, 2024. The incident took place at the Tractor Supply store located at 2003 Buchholzer Blvd.
According to police reports, the suspects arrived at the store in an SUV. One suspect, described as a male wearing a long sleeve lime or yellow shirt, distracted an employee while the second suspect, a male in a black Air Jordan t-shirt, pushed a chainsaw and a welder out of the store through the rear door.
Anyone with information regarding this crime or the identity of the suspects is encouraged to reach out to Akron Police Detective Sgt. M. Joyner at 330-375-2464. Tips can also be submitted via the APD Tip Line at 330-375-2TIP or through Summit County Crimestoppers, Inc. at 330-434-COPS (2677). Individuals may text TIPSCO to 274637 (CRIMES) to provide information as well. Callers can remain anonymous.
For further assistance, the public can download the Akron PD app, where tips can be submitted by texting Tips411 or through the link available on their website, www.AkronCops.org. The police have advised that if someone sees the suspects, they should not approach them but instead call 911.
