Disaster Relief Funds Announced for Sarasota Schools

Governor Ron DeSantis and Florida Department of Education Commissioner Manny Diaz held a press conference at Booker High School to announce disaster relief funds for educators and school operations in Sarasota County following Hurricane Milton. The financial aid aims to help restore essential resources and maintain a safe and supportive environment for students. Additional funding was also allocated to district-level education foundations in Manatee, Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties.
