Akron Celebrates Lock 3 Grand Reopening Friday

The City of Akron will celebrate the grand reopening of Lock 3 on Friday, November 29th, starting at 6 PM. The event will feature a Welcome Santa Parade at 6 PM, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony and a drone show at 7 PM.
Attendees can enjoy live ice carving demonstrations and ice skating, which will be available from 11 AM to 11 PM. Costumed characters, including Santa and the Grinch, will also be present for the festivities. This reopening represents a $17 million investment into downtown Akron.
