Equity Talks: Promoting Diversity and Inclusivity Events

Staff Report / sanfranlocal.org

The Office of Student Equity and the Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Committee at City College of San Francisco are hosting a series of events titled "Equity Talks." These discussions aim to promote inclusivity, equity, and diversity within the college community.

The first event, "Interconnected: From Politics to a Career," will be held on October 27th from 1 PM to 3 PM in MUB 140. Dr. Elizabeth Walker will lead this workshop, focusing on the impact of political leaders on community colleges and how student involvement in politics can influence equity in education.

The second event, "Create Healing to Retain," is scheduled for November 12th from 12 PM to 2 PM in VART 115.

Students and employees are encouraged to participate in these free events, which aim to foster respectful dialogue and promote critical engagement with diversity. Interested individuals can register through the provided link or by scanning a QR code available in the event materials.
