**Road Closures Announced for Akron Events on November 29th**
The Akron Police Department has announced several road closures in relation to the Welcome Santa Parade, Tree Lighting Ceremony, and the Reopening of Lock 3 on Friday, November 29th.
Starting at 5 p.m., South Main Street will close between Cedar Street and Bartges Street for parade line-up. At 5:50 p.m., South Main Street between Cedar Street and Bowery Street will close for the parade itself.
Roads will reopen once the parade route is clear. Additionally, there will be no street parking in the parade route area beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday.
Motorists are encouraged to stay aware and follow traffic rules during the events.
