**Mayor Malik Activates Warming Center for Residents in Need**

Akron Mayor Malik has announced the activation of a warming center in response to cold weather conditions. The Summit Lake Community Center, located at 380 W Crosier St., will serve as a warming center for residents in need of a safe and warm space. The center will be open tomorrow, Thursday, December 12, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Additionally, the Emergency Overnight Shelter at 111 East Voris St. will be open tonight, Wednesday, December 11, and tomorrow night, Thursday, December 12. The shelter operates during evening hours, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Residents seeking warmth are encouraged to visit these locations. The city's other community centers will maintain their normal operating hours.
