**Akron Fire Department Focuses on Mental Health Support**

The Akron Fire Department in Akron, Ohio, has reported on ongoing efforts to prioritize the mental health and well-being of its firefighters and paramedics. The department's Peer Support Team recently convened at the Fire Administration building to continue their mission of providing emotional and psychological support to members of the force.

Given the strenuous and stressful nature of their duties, the team aims to ensure that firefighters and paramedics have access to the resources they need to cope effectively. The department expressed gratitude toward the individuals dedicating their time and effort to make the Peer Support Team impactful and effective.
