Akron Offers Leaf Removal Options for Residents

Staff Report / Akronlocal.org

**City of Akron Leaf Removal Continues: Options for Residents**

The City of Akron’s leaf removal crews are still working this week to assist residents with collecting fallen leaves. If you still have leaves in your yard, there are two options available:

1. **Request a Second Visit from Crews:** Residents can call 3-1-1 to request a second leaf pickup. Crews will address as many requests as time and weather allow this week.

2. **Bag Leaves for Sanitation Bulk Pickup:** Alternatively, residents can bag their leaves and schedule a bulk pickup from the City’s Sanitation Department. Each household is eligible for three free bulk pickups per year. To request this service, call 3-1-1, use the Akron311 app, or visit the city’s website at akronohio.gov/311.

Both options ensure that leaves are properly collected and disposed of, helping to maintain clean and safe neighborhoods. Residents are encouraged to act promptly to take advantage of these services.
