**City of Akron Welcomes 2025 with New Year's Announcement**

Akron, Ohio, January 1, 2025 – The City of Akron has officially welcomed the New Year and shared an update for residents celebrating the start of 2025. According to the Mayor's Office via Facebook, all municipal offices are closed today, January 1, in observance of the holiday.

Additionally, the city has announced that there will be a one-day delay in trash and recycling pick-up schedules this week to accommodate for the holiday closure.

The announcement was shared along with festive greetings to mark the occasion. Happy New Year, Akron!
