Summit Lake Shelter Hours Adjusted for Cold Weather

### Summit Lake Warming Center and Emergency Overnight Shelter Hours Updated
**Akron, Ohio** – The Summit Lake Community Center, located at 380 W Crosier St., will operate as a warming center for residents in need from Monday, January 13, through Wednesday, January 15. The center will be open daily during this period from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., providing a warm and safe space for those affected by the cold.
Additionally, the Emergency Overnight Shelter at 111 East Voris St. has extended its operating hours and will remain open nightly from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. through Wednesday, January 15. However, the shelter will not be open on Thursday, January 16, or Friday, January 17, as previously scheduled.
City officials are closely monitoring weather conditions and will assess the need to further extend community center hours if necessary. Starting Thursday, January 16, unless otherwise announced, facilities will resume their normal business hours.
Residents in need of warmth and shelter are encouraged to utilize these resources during the specified hours.
