**Akron Police Honor Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.**

Akron, Ohio – The Akron Police Department marked the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s life and legacy by sharing one of his powerful quotes. The department posted the following message: “Not everybody can be famous, but everybody can be great, because greatness is determined by service.” Dr. King's impactful words were shared as part of their tribute to his contributions to equality and justice.

The message emphasizes his belief that true greatness is rooted in serving others—a core principle of Dr. King's work and mission. The department also included the hashtag #akronpdconnecting in their acknowledgment.
