**Akron-Summit County Public Library Breaks Single-Day Checkout Record on Libby App**

AKRON, OHIO – On January 21, 2025, the Akron-Summit County Public Library set a new record for single-day digital checkouts on the Libby app, surpassing the previous record by nearly 1,000 checkouts. A total of 4,653 digital loans, including eBooks and audiobooks, were made through the platform in one day.

The milestone highlights the growing popularity of digital borrowing among library patrons. Libby, the library app, allows users to borrow eBooks and audiobooks directly to their devices for free using their library card.

This achievement comes as the library continues to embrace digital services, ensuring easy access to reading materials for the Akron community. For more information or to start borrowing, patrons can visit the Libby website at **libbyapp.com**.
