**Akron Area YMCA Honors Black History Month with Focus on Black Leaders**

The Akron Area YMCA, located in Akron, Ohio, is observing Black History Month by honoring the contributions of Black leaders who have shaped the history of the YMCA and the United States. The organization recognizes that both the country's history and the YMCA's story reflect gradual progress toward greater inclusion and equity.
