Tempe Elementary School District announced that middle school athletics now include no-cost participation for all students, covering uniforms, transportation, and equipment. The program provides opportunities for students to participate in sports such as football and basketball, helping them build camaraderie, confidence, and character.

The district will host middle school Open House events at several schools. The dates and schools are as follows:

• December 2, 2025 – McKemy Academy of International Studies (Grades 6–8)

• December 4, 2025 – ASPIRE Academy at Connolly Middle School (Gifted Grades 6–8)

• December 9, 2025 – Ward Traditional Academy (Grades K–8)

• January 15, 2026 – Ward Traditional Academy and Cecil Shamley School (Grades K–8)

• January 22, 2026 – Connolly Middle School (Grades 6–8)

• January 27, 2026 – Fees College Preparatory Middle School (Grades 6–8)

• January 29, 2026 – Geneva Epps Mosley Middle School (Grades 6–8)
