Hobart and William Smith Colleges' debate team recently traveled to the University of Pennsylvania to compete in the United States Universities Debating Championship. Two team members, Sasha Zory ’28 and Hudson Chou ’27, advanced to the quarterfinals, placing them among the top 16 teams in the nation. In the Novice Division, first-year debaters Hilton Johnson ’29 and Nehemiah Wagner ’29 ranked 9th in the country. The team is set to compete next at the World Universities Debating Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria.
