Denver-Boulder Forecast Warns of Hazardous Snowstorm
The National Weather Service in Denver/Boulder issued a highway snow forecast for a winter storm expected to affect the region from Friday evening through Sunday. The heaviest snowfall is forecasted between midnight tonight and Saturday morning, with impacts expected to continue into Saturday evening due to strong winds and blowing snow. Travelers heading to mountain areas should prepare for difficult winter driving and possible whiteout conditions.
According to the forecast:
• Grand Lake is expected to receive 5 to 10 inches of snow.
• Alpine V.C. could see 9 to 17 inches.
• Estes Park is forecasted to get 1 to 4 inches.
• No snow accumulation is anticipated at Loveland, Greeley, Fort Morgan, Akron, or Wray.
