Balog Unveils Climate Stories Through Striking Images

James Balog, an environmental photographer and filmmaker known for documenting the relationship between humanity and nature, presented a lecture at Cornell University. Speaking as part of the Climate Impact Series hosted by The 2030 Project and the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability in partnership with the A.D. White Professors-at-Large Program, Balog shared the stories behind his striking images. His work spans more than four decades and highlights how human activities impact Earth’s climate, landscapes, and the balance among earth, air, fire, water, and tectonic forces.
