North Street School Explores Dairy, Colonial Food Production
North Street School homerooms recently took part in the Discovery Dairy program by adopting a cow. Students learned how dairy cows contribute to everyday products and used mechanical energy to make butter. They also connected their work to social studies by comparing today’s food production with that of colonial times. The program combined hands-on learning in science, social studies, and real-world applications.
