Fifth-Graders Explore Future Careers Via VR Experience
Fifth-grade students at North Street School in Geneva, New York, experienced a virtual reality activity designed to explore future career paths. With support from ARC Ontario, education coordinator Ryan Schiff and employment specialist Roderick Finley helped guide the students as they used VR headsets to simulate jobs in various fields such as veterinary medicine, healthcare, construction, emergency services, restaurant management, and cosmetology.
The immersive session allowed the students to see what working in these different professions might be like. The hands-on experience aimed to provide insight into real-world careers and expose students to a variety of potential future paths in the workforce.
