In Geneva, N.Y., the HWS community participated in the 55th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. March, an event noted as one of the longest-running commemorations in the nation. The march was led by Geneva’s Martin Luther King Jr. Committee. After the march, participants gathered at St. John’s Chapel for a memorial service that included a keynote address by performing artist Thomas Warfield. The service featured music by the MLK Memorial Choir, which is directed by Patti Blue ’77, L.H.D. ’24. Local students also took part in the day's events by showcasing their work in the annual MLK Art Competition.
