Service crews in Akron are facing delays with leaf removal due to recent snow storms. Crews have been working through difficult weather conditions, and the delays have affected the removal schedule in several wards. According to City of Akron’s Mayor’s Office, crews plan to finish up in Ward 8 and begin work in Ward 1 today. Wards 2 and 9 are still scheduled for leaf removal as planned.

Once crews have worked in all 10 wards, they will return to complete a second pick-up in Wards 3, 5, 10, and 6. Signs will be posted in those neighborhoods prior to the additional pick-ups. Residents who miss the leaf removal date for their ward can submit a request via 311. Crews will attend to these requests at the end of the season, weather permitting.
