Conxus NEO and The Greater Akron Chamber are teaming up to host events tailored for interns this summer in Akron. The goal is to showcase to interns why the Greater Akron region is a great place to begin their careers. Some of the activities planned include the Morning Buzz, where interns can connect with one another, an event called Interns Get Connected with Akron, a Downtown Akron Food Crawl, and Interns at the Ballpark. These events aim to engage interns with the business community in the region. To further support intern engagement, employers can utilize the Intern Accelerator, a new resource designed to help establish or enhance internship programs. The events and resources are part of an initiative to involve the future workforce in the Akron area.
