The Austin Animal Center in Austin, Texas, received a positive update about an adopted dog. A new pet owner shared that they adopted a dog named Poppy earlier this month from a foster parent. The owner expressed gratitude to the center for rescuing the dog, now renamed Hazel, calling her "quite literally perfect."

Residents are encouraged to share their own adoption stories by emailing animal.media@austintexas.gov, along with pictures and updates. The center continues to promote the message of adopting pets from shelters.
