**Adoptable Dog Halsey Seeks Loving Home After 117 Days in Shelter**
Austin, Texas - Halsey, an affectionate dog at the Austin Animal Center, has spent 117 days in the shelter and is looking for a permanent home. Volunteers have shared positive experiences with her, describing her as a snuggly companion who enjoys climbing into laps for hugs.
She is house-trained and has shown good behavior during sleepovers, displaying a pleasant demeanor without barking or causing trouble. Halsey has even adapted well to crowded environments, like Mueller's Farmer's Market and Central Machine Works brewery, where she remained curious and friendly throughout the visits.
Halsey is also playful and enjoys fetching, equipped with an eagerness that lasts as long as her owner can throw. However, volunteers note that she may demand belly scratches once she gets to know someone.
The shelter advises that Halsey would thrive in an active household and would do best as the only dog.
The Austin Animal Center is open for visits every day from 11 AM to 7 PM, with the adoption line closing at 6 PM to ensure all potential adopters are accommodated. Those interested in meeting Halsey are encouraged to come to the shelter.
