Artist Talk with María Berrío at Art Museum

The Philadelphia Museum of Art invites the public to attend an artist talk featuring María Berrío on Saturday, September 21, from 2 to 3 p.m. Berrío, who is based in Brooklyn and originally from Colombia, creates large-scale artworks using delicate layers of Japanese paper. Her work often focuses on themes of cross-cultural connections and migration, reflecting her own experiences.
During the talk, Berrío will discuss her artistic journey and her latest installation, "A Cloud’s Roots," which is currently on display in Gallery 224.

"A Cloud's Roots," created in 2018, is part of the museum’s collection, gifted by Emily and Mike Cavanagh.
