Sara, a member of the Westside Family YMCA in Canandaigua, shared her personal journey of transformation after becoming a mother. Three years after giving birth, she recognized the importance of focusing on her self-care and mental health.

To make a change, she began attending the YMCA at 5:30 every morning. This routine has helped her to adopt a healthier lifestyle, resulting in a weight loss of over 100 pounds. Sara emphasizes that her approach is not about dieting but rather a comprehensive lifestyle change. She values the time she spends each morning, stating it provides her with clarity to start her day.

Additionally, Sara enjoys the sense of community, often working out with the same morning crew at the YMCA.
