Western New York Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month has begun in Western New York. Last week, the NFTA-Metro held a Hispanic Heritage Flag Raising Ceremony in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Council of WNY Inc. to commemorate the occasion.

Throughout the month, the Hispanic Heritage Council of WNY Inc. will host various events and activities that celebrate the contributions, history, and culture of the local Hispanic community. Buffalo Toronto Public Media (WNED PBS) will air a series of television programs and documentaries focused on Hispanic themes and personalities.
