Deputy Mayor Callie Johnson helped kick off Hispanic Heritage Month yesterday in Buffalo. The event was organized by the Hispanic Heritage Council of Western New York. This year's theme is "Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together." The ceremony included contributions from Hispanic Heritage Council Board President Casimiro Rodriguez Sr., Board Vice President Esmeralda Sierra, and other community leaders. The event celebrated the rich culture and traditions of the Latino community.
