Study Reveals Plans for Healthier San Diego Communities

Staff Report / Sanlocal.org

The County of San Diego has completed a study focusing on enhancing health, resilience, and equity in communities located in Buena Creek, Lakeside, Valle de Oro/Casa de Oro, and Spring Valley. This study examined housing availability, especially in relation to public transit and public facilities, as well as potential support for new home development.

The findings from this study are scheduled to be presented at a public meeting on September 24, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The meeting will take place via Zoom. Residents are encouraged to register for the event at engage.sandiegocounty.gov/DFASource.

Additional information can be found at the San Diego County Parks and Recreation's Facebook page or on the engagement website. The results will help guide recommendations to the Board of Supervisors later this fall.
