North Port Launches Business Damage Assessment Survey

Staff Report / NPlocal.org

The North Port Economic Development team has announced that the Business Damage Assessment Survey is now available for businesses affected by Hurricane Helene. The survey has been activated by FloridaCommerce and the State Emergency Response Team (SERT) to assess the damage caused by the hurricane.

Businesses can fill out the survey to provide important information on the physical and economic impact of the disaster. It is essential to note that this survey is solely for damage assessment and does not serve as an application for assistance. To apply for disaster loans and resources, businesses should visit the RECOVER tab on the relevant website.

Once the survey is completed, federal, state, or local agencies may reach out for further assistance if interest is indicated. Businesses can access the survey online at https://floridadisaster.biz/ and should select "Hurricane Helene" from the dropdown menu when prompted.

Surveys submitted will be public records and will be available to the media and public upon request.
