Leonel "Leo" Bello, a first-generation college graduate, holds both a BA and an MBA in Psychology and Business Management. He has been a part of the Business Department at City College of San Francisco since 2000, where he teaches real estate and business. Since 2005, he has been the Real Estate Program Coordinator and previously served as the Department Chair for five years.

Bello contributed to the California Department of Real Estate's financial literacy program, which introduced a statewide financial literacy course during the 2008 financial crisis. He is a licensed mortgage and real estate broker and serves as a review editor for Dearborn Real Estate Education Publications.

In recognition of his contributions to student learning and real estate education, Professor Bello received the 2018 Advancing Educator-of-the-Year Award in California.

Bello will be presenting a virtual lecture on Financing Real Estate on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM via Zoom. The lecture is open to the public, offering insights into the financial aspects of real estate. Interested individuals are encouraged to register for the event and participate actively.
