Library Rally Promotes Freedom to Read Campaign

The San Diego Central Library is hosting a Community Day of Action Rally on Saturday, October 19, from 10 a.m. to Noon. The event will take place at the City Heights Library Performance Annex amphitheater.

Participants are encouraged to support the #FreedomToRead campaign alongside the San Diego Public Library (SDPL), Library Foundation SD, and other community leaders. The event is family-friendly and includes activities such as storytimes with Barbie Q, appearances by #OdiTheCoyote, book giveaways, and various activities aimed at promoting reading and libraries.

The rally aims to unite the community against book bans and support the freedom to read.
