**Poster Contest Promotes Bike Safety Awareness in Wake County for Middle Schoolers**

Wake County Government has announced a creative opportunity for middle school students to promote bike safety. The #SafeRoutesToSchool program has partnered with Wake County Public Libraries to host a poster contest aimed at raising awareness about bicycle safety rules. Specifically, the contest focuses on reminding drivers to provide at least three feet of space when passing cyclists.

The contest is open to students in grades 6 through 8 across Wake County. Young artists can submit their poster designs highlighting bike safety now through April 18. The grand prize for the contest is a brand-new bike, offering an exciting incentive for students to participate.

For detailed rules and submission guidelines, entries can be submitted through the official website at [wake.gov/saferoutes](http://wake.gov/saferoutes). This collaborative initiative provides a fun and educational way for children to stay engaged while also contributing to community safety awareness.
