In 2025, Hobart and William Smith Colleges marked several milestones. A noteworthy event was the launch of the Melly Institute for Business, Innovation and Leadership, along with the introduction of the Melly Scholars program, backed by a historic $70 million gift. The Wall Street Journal recognized HWS as a top 10 school for student experience. Additionally, Hobart hockey secured its third consecutive NCAA Division III National Championship.
