Wake County Launches Free Tree Recycling Program
Wake County is offering free Christmas tree recycling this holiday season. Trees will be turned into mulch and used to improve trails at 12 county parks. The recycling program is part of the Happy Trails initiative.
The program runs from December 26, 2025, to January 31, 2026. Residents can drop off their trees at designated locations. More information, including drop-off locations, is available at wake.gov/happytrails.
