Wake County Parks Celebrate 50th Anniversary, Invite Memories

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The department says it wants the public to participate in the celebration.

Do you have a favorite photo or memory from one of the county’s parks or preserves? The post invites residents to dig into albums or camera rolls and share their best shots and stories. Memories could be featured on social media as five decades of fun are celebrated.

Photos and stories can be dropped in the comments or submitted through the form at https://www.wake.gov/Parks50.
