Garner completes inaugural Jacksonville Ironman

JACKSONVILLE, Texas — Meghan Garner, a First Coast YMCA team member of five years, completed the first-ever Jacksonville Ironman on May 16.

Her preparation included Ironman Readiness Workshops, early mornings in the pool, weekly run club miles, and encouragement from the Y community. The support from volunteers and spectators on race day helped carry her through every mile to the finish.

The First Coast YMCA issued congratulations to Garner and said her First Coast Y family is cheering her on.
