Geneva Public Library rewards kids for cleaning up
GENEVA, N.Y. — The Geneva Public Library reports there are lots of toys and activity stations on the ground floor for its youngest patrons. They say the children “do a great job of picking up after themselves (most of the time)” and the library created a reward to acknowledge that behavior.
Under the program, anytime they clean up after themselves, they can choose a lollipop or a special Hammy stamp.
The library’s post also includes the hashtags #CleanUp and #gplny.

Geneva Fire Department to conduct training near hospital landing zone
Geneva, N.Y. — The City of Geneva Fire Department and several mutual aid departments will conduct Saturday morning firefighter training near the hospital landing zone, including Mercy Flight helicopter operations and live-fire drills with a propane training prop; the area will be closed to the public and residents are asked to avoid it, as officials say this is a scheduled drill with no emergency.
