Wake County Marks 50th Anniversary of Parks Program with Challenge
Wake County Government in Raleigh, North Carolina, says it is celebrating 50 years of its Parks, Recreation and Open Space program with a brand-new Choose Your Own Adventure Challenge.
Participants can pick up a tracker at any park or preserve, explore new spaces or attend programs, and earn 10 points per visit. If they reach 50 points before the end of the year, they will receive a special anniversary prize. The effort is promoted with the hashtag #WakeParks50.

Wake County bus drivers win N.C. Roadeo; Fogleman to compete
APEX, N.C. — Jorge Ubior Rosado won first and Clay Fogleman second at the North Carolina School Bus Roadeo, with Rosado qualifying for the School Bus Driver International Safety Competition in Austin but not competing due to a prior commitment, and Fogleman slated to represent the district and state there; three additional WCPSS drivers also qualified for the state event, and the district thanked transportation staff.

Wake County Veterans Stand Down Saturday in Raleigh
