SAISD Foundation to honor Judge Xavier Rodriguez.
Staff Report / SAlocal.org
The SAISD Foundation will be hosting the 13th annual Inspire Awards this fall to recognize outstanding alumni who have achieved success in their respective fields, embodying the values of the community. One of the honorees at this year's event is Judge Xavier Rodriguez, a former Texas Supreme Court Justice who currently serves as a United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.
Judge Rodriguez, a graduate of Burbank High School, was actively involved in various clubs and activities during his time at school. He excelled academically and received multiple scholarships to universities across the country, ultimately choosing to attend Harvard University. After completing his undergraduate studies, he pursued a law degree from The University of Texas School of Law.
Judge Rodriguez is passionate about encouraging students in the San Antonio ISD to aim for Ivy League universities and advises them to apply to a variety of schools without worrying about financial obstacles. He believes that many students limit their opportunities by not exploring all their options.
The Foundation will celebrate Judge Rodriguez's achievements at the Witte Museum on Wednesday, October 23. For those interested in attending the event or providing sponsorship, more information can be found at https://saisdfoundation.com/news-and-events/inspire-awards/.
