Sarasota County Recognizes National Preparedness Month

Staff Report / sarasotalocal.org

On September 11, the Sarasota County Government Board of County Commissioners acknowledged National Preparedness Month at their commission meeting. The Sarasota County Emergency Management team was present to accept the proclamation.

September marks the peak of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, as well as National Preparedness Month. This initiative encourages residents to have a plan, assemble a well-stocked go-kit, and ensure they are equipped to receive emergency alerts.
